Food

We have been contributing to the Food Pantry at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church for many years. Non-perishable, protein rich foods are best.

We always need peanut butter, jelly, pasta meals, cereals, juices, puddings, canned fruit, tuna, etc. Also of use are personal hygiene products such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, soaps, deodorant and sanitary products.

If you forget to bring food on Sunday, you can drop it off during the week. when the Office Hours (8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.), closed Thursdays.

Goodland School

This year we have begun a partnership with Goodland Elementary School.   The Contribution Corner is another way for us to support them. Desired items are: children’s coats, hats, gloves, and underwear.

Teenage Foster Care

The Teenage Foster care program is a new mission partnership for us. Administered by the Kenosha Human Development Service, Inc., the program serves youth from both Racine and Kenosha. The shelter is located in Kenosha and has been in operation since 1975. Last year the shelter served 131 teenagers. The children can stay for a maximum of 60 days. Other services provided includes independent living placements for 17-19 year olds.   Brandy and Allen Smith, from Covenant, work with this mission.

Unopened items to collect for Teenage Foster care: lotion, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, face cleaners, nail care, make-up for all skin types, nail clippers, after shave, cologne, perfume, nail polish.
