Mom's Night Out!

The month of May was crazy full, so take some time out to enjoy other moms to laugh and eat and share an evening just for you... no agenda, just friends.  We'll meet Tuesday, June 4th at Jose's Blue Sombrero (on Washington Ave.) at 6:30pm for dinner.  If you're interested please let Pastor Melanie know (mhammondclark@covpres.org) by the morning of the 4th so we know how many seats to reserve.

This Is NOT Your Mother’s Bible Study

How do you discuss drugs, sex and alcohol with your children when your own history in those categories might make you feel dishonest?  What do you do when your child doesn’t seem to care that she or he is flunking algebra?  What’s a helpful response when your child throws a tantrum in the grocery store and makes you want to throw one, too?  How do you bring peace, loving kindness, and patience to your family when you have trouble finding it for your own self?

These are but a few of the topics that become the substance of our study of Scripture in Covenant’s Mom’s Group led by Pastor Melanie.  You can come and listen and say very little or you can share a lot.  It’s a group for YOU, and the one clear agenda is to help you discover again, or for the first time, that God wants to partner with you in your parenting, and God wants to be a loving parent to you along the way.

So consider coming on the first Tuesdays of each month to give yourself a little space to breath and room to grow as a parent and as a person.  Mom's Group will not be meeting over the summer.
